What’s included:

  • 2 days of horse riding (approx. 5 hours a day)
  • 2 Guides
  • Helmet
  • For a group of 5 or more riders we provide a support vehicle to carry all the equipment.

Available upon request:

  • Food for 2 days – 45 lv
  • Tent (fits up to 2 people) – 20 lvΒ 
  • Sleeping bag + mat – 15 lv

Day 1

  • 9 am arrive at Rusaliite, you will be introduced to your perfect match horse and help getting your horse ready for the ride.
  • We spend 5 – 6 hours riding in the beautiful Rila mountains, with stops to have lunch, refill our water bottles at natural water fountains and enjoy some beautiful views.
  • You can help set up tents, build a fire, and have dinner.

Day 2

  • You will wake up to a traditional Bulgarian breakfast and hot tea / coffee.
  • Then we pack up the camp and get our horses ready.
  • We spend another 3 – 4 hours riding in the beautiful, with stops to have lunch, refill our water bottles at natural water fountains and enjoy some beautiful views.

You should be either intermediate or advanced rider, with the condition to be confident to ride on your own, without someone leading your horse.

Your maximum weight should be 85 Kg / 187 lb. βš–οΈ

Depending on group number and experience will have 1 or 2 guides – one to ride faster with the advanced riders and one to stay with the less experienced riders, making sure everyone has fun and feels safe and comfortable. We will stay as a group as much as possible.

To ensure you have an enjoyable and safe ride, we limit the group size to maximum number of participants: 10 (save your spot).

πŸš— Transportation: Your own vehicle / share a ride with other participants / ask for a shuttle service (additional fee) – leave a comment in the form below if you need a ride.

We will provide horse riding equipment and helmets. Please bring:

  • Comfortable clothes (for riding and sleeping outfit),
  • Shoes (no high heals),
  • Light rain coat or jacket,
  • Sunscreen,
  • Headlight,
  • Small waterbottle (you can refill it on the ride),
  • Personal items (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.).

Please keep in mind that your horse is going to carry everything you bring, therefore it all needs to be lightweight.

We make sure we have non-vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan options (let us know your prefferences).

Marie is a horse enthusiast who worked with horses all around the world; trained racing horses in the Czech Republic, England and New Zealand, guided horseback tours in New Zealand, Chile and Peru and guided horse and carriage rides in the United States. She’s currently based in Bansko, working as a freelancer in Marketing Automation, exploring the beautiful Pirin and Rila mountains on foot, horseback or snowboard.

Nadia is born and raised in Sofia. Did a lot of hiking and tourism in Bulgarian nature while growing up. Studied fine arts and English, and later Graphic design at university. Work with horses and riding tourism for 15 years, certified riding instructor, and an FEI Endurance judge. Experienced riding racehorses in the UK. Her biggest passion is animals and nature, also interested in sports – fencing, swimming, rock climbing, mountain biking, etc., and traveling around the world.

After filling out the form, you will be asked to pay non-refundable deposit 30% of the price. In case the trip gets cancelled on our side (ex. not enough riders or weather conditions) you’ll have the option to reschedule your your trip or get your 100% of your deposit back.
